Historic Race Breakthrough

Held at Portugal’s Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on March 28-29, 2026, the event saw ZXMOTO’s No.53 820RR-RS race bike, piloted by French rider Valentin Debise, deliver a dominant performance across both WorldSSP races.

After locking in a front-row grid spot, Debise claimed a decisive win in Race 1 with a 3.685-second lead over the competition, also setting the race’s fastest lap. In Race 2, he overcame a mid-race position drop to execute precision overtakes in the final laps, clinching a second consecutive victory.

This double win marks an unprecedented milestone: no Chinese motorcycle brand has ever reached the top step of the WSBK podium, a series that has served as the ultimate proving ground for mass-produced high-performance motorcycles since its launch in 1988.

                                             Core Independent R&D Underpins Victory

The championship-winning 820RR-RS is built on ZXMOTO’s mass-produced 820RR road bike, fully compliant with WSBK’s strict homologation rules, meaning its core technical architecture is directly transferable to consumer production models.

At its heart is a fully in-house developed 818.8cc inline three-cylinder water-cooled engine, delivering 153.6 peak horsepower in race trim with a 16,000rpm redline. This powerplant balances the low-end torque of a twin-cylinder engine and the high-revving performance of an inline four-cylinder, delivering exceptional throttle response and straight-line acceleration — the key advantage that secured the race-winning overtakes.

Complemented by a lightweight full aluminum alloy frame, extensive carbon fiber and magnesium alloy applications, and a proprietary 6-axis IMU electronic control system, the 820RR-RS delivers class-leading power-to-weight ratio and stability under extreme racing conditions. This also marks the first successful validation of a Chinese-developed motorcycle electronic control system at the WSBK level.
